About

Let me start by saying that in general, I don’t like writing bio’s as it feels weird reducing who I am to a few lines of what I like, dislike, achievements, etc. I prefer when the revealing of these things come naturally in conversations and in time, with the right people. However, this is the internet and I will probably never meet you. So here is my disorganized attempt at expressing.

A bit about my background. I was born in Canada, in the french part. Always been fascinated by technology, specifically computers and the internet. I remember as a child how amazed I was that I could write to anyone in my MSN friend’s list in real-time no matter how far they physically were from me. Gaming was also a huge part of my life. It was my refuge from the social game of society. I didn’t get how to act amongst my peers, but in games, I didn’t have to act and pretend.

Some of my proudest moments in my life are having gone travelling solo for the first time in 2016 to figure out what I wanted in this life. I ended up travelling for a year, volunteering to many different places in the west of the USA and Canada. During this time, I walked the entirety of Vancouver island as I’ve long wanted to know how it would feel to depend on nothing but my head and my own two hands (or two feet in this case). Since those initial experiences, I walked over 2000 kilometers of the Te Araroa trail in New Zealand in 2018, and in 2021, my girlfriend and I walked a 600km journey from Gatineau, Quebec to Trois-pistoles, Quebec in Canada.

I’ve lived in several countries and travelled in 11, volunteered all around the world for different causes and organizations. Nowadays, I make little things and I research bigger things. I regularly write down my thoughts on what it feels to me to be human. These thoughts are simply an expression of my experience in the world. Don’t take anything here too seriously.

Here’s a small list of things that I enjoy:

  • Discussing what it means to be human over great coffee
  • Observing animals going about their day
  • Rock climbing
  • Diving into rabbit holes of all shapes and sizes
  • Experiencing other cultures and ways of thinking
  • Building software, hardware and useful wooden things
  • Tending to a vegetable garden

You can read my thoughts here and contemplations here.
